In contrast to nylon rope, which can lose 10% to 15% of its strength when wet, the Yellow Poly Steel rope does not absorb water and maintains its full strength, even in wet conditions. This rope is also highly resistant to damage from ultraviolet light, thanks to its synthetic composition, which also contributes to its excellent abrasion resistance, increasing the overall lifetime of the equipment.
The Poly Steel rope is ten times stronger than Polypropylene, and while it may become fibrous over time, this is simply a result of normal wear and tear, and does not indicate that the rope needs to be replaced. The rope is 5/8 inches thick and is available with a variety of component configurations, including a shock absorber, positioning device, 18-inch extension lanyard, and two double-locking snap hooks.
